| Abstract: | In this study, a deterministic mathematical model that explains the transmission dynamics of waste management systems is proposed and analyzed. Positivity and boundedness of solution of the model are proved and basic reproduction number is computed using the next-generation matrix method. The existence of a unique waste management free and endemic equilibrium points are investigated. Then, we study the local asymptotic stability of these equilibrium points. The analysis shows that the system has a locally asymptotically stable waste management -free equilibrium point whenever the reproduction number is R0 < 1 and locally asymptotically stable endemic equilibrium point whenever the reproduction number is . The simulation result shows the agreement with the analytical results. |
