dc.description.abstract | This study investigated the relationship between leadership style and employee well-being in the hotel industry located in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. 75 employees were surveyed using close-ended questionnaires from 15 full service hotels in Minna. Pearson correlation results revealed that a transformational leadership style had a strong positive relationship with employee well-being, while transactional leadership had a strong negative relationship with employee well-being. The main implication of these findings is that hotel owners, policy makers and other stakeholders need to encourage their managers to practice a more transformational style of leadership as this leads to happier employees which leads to happier customers and long-term prosperity for the industry. | en_US |
