Abstract: This paper discusses the concept and relevance of micro, small and medium scale enterprises to the socio-economic development of the nation as well as examining the place of commercial motorcycles as a public transportation mode in a developing economy like Nigeria. Furthermore, it critically examines the various sources of finance for the micro, small medium transport enterprises and their limitations while it concludes by maxing some policy recommendations on the way forward.
