N OF SCIENCE EDUCATION STUDENTS ON THE USE GOOGLE CLASSROOM IN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, MINNA AHMED, Tukur SHUAEEB, Ahmad Ibn USMAN, Abdullahi Laka MUSA, Aisha Balarabe ABSTRACT The study investigates the perceptions of science education students regarding the use of Google Classroom as a modern pedagogical tool in undergraduate settings at the Federal University of Technology Minna. With the increasing integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education, this research aims to assess the effectiveness of Google Classroom in enhancing instructional delivery and student engagement. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data was collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, with the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23.0. The findings reveal a generally positive perception of Google Classroom among students, highlighting its potential to facilitate learning and improve academic performance. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including technical difficulties, varying levels of digital literacy, and issues with internet connectivity, which may hinder effective utilization of the platform. The research underscores the need for further studies that incorporate qualitative insights and longitudinal data to comprehensively understand the impact of Google Classroom on student learning experiences. Ultimately, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on the adoption of modern educational technologies in Nigerian universities and offers recommendations for enhancing the use of Google Classroom in science education.
