dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Building form part of man's environment. It has been under constand interaction with all the environmental components namely; physical, biological and social, physical component being the most active. The effect of climatic elements on building cannot be .... : . over emphasized. This project ~o a great extent highlighted the impact of these climatic elements on buildings. The world is divided into different climatic zones" each with its own characteristics. Owerri, lmo State capital falls under the warm humid climatic zone, as such with its own peculiarity in terms of weather condition. It is quite unfortunate that most buildings in Owerri are not suitable for the climate of the area hence owners. Having carried out a research through survey on the general problem, this report try to analyze various weather control techniques on building to mitigate the problems associated with the existing buildings and creating standard for future developments.en_US
