dc.description.abstract | Flooding in housing neighborhoods is on the increase with rapid Urban expansion. This is more devastating in coastal regions as shown by researchers. This study evaluates flood resilience strategies as response to increasing flood vulnerabilities in Lekki residential part of Lagos State. Using a survey, residents experiences were examined and it was discovered that residential properties were affected by increased flood risks with major damages to the structural stability, building facade, life and properties of occupants. Findings indicate that resilience strategies applied by residents was inadequate to control flood. The research advanced to the use of water inclusion and water entry technologies as strategies in the design of residential properties which is adaptable to flood and other climatic conditions. | en_US |
