Title: E-LEARNING, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND STEAM PEDAGOGY: TRANSFORMING TEACHER EDUCATION FOR A SKILLED WORKFORCE IN NIGERIA.
Authors: Hassana, Abubakar; Sobowale, Favour; Fati, Ali; Habiba, Muhammad; Umar, Nurudeen Kuta
Abstract: E-learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and
Mathematics) pedagogy is transforming the education structure of the 21 st -century workforce.
The paper is based on the literature review of the ways technology-enhanced learning platforms
particularly, e-learning synchronous and asynchronous, transform teacher preparation in Nigeria
Colleges of Education. It puts forward the role of Artificial Intelligence, which is combined with
digital pedagogies, in promoting innovation and collaboration, critical thinking, and inclusiveness
among pre-service teachers. Based on the current research, the paper will contend that successful
implementation of technology in teacher training reinforces academic success and retention and
engagement as well as bridging the gender and digital gap. It concludes that the introduction of
AI tools, including adaptive learning systems, chatbots, and data-driven assessments, to STEAM
education will result in digitally competent, competent, and innovative teaching workforce that is
necessary in the national development. The article advises the strategic policy changes, the
investment in the infrastructure, and the training of educators in AI literacy as a measure to
maximize the transformative potential of E-learning and STEAM pedagogy in Nigeria.

Title: LEVERAGING AUDIOBOOK APPLICATIONS FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS: RETHINKING EDUCATIONAL ACCESSIBILITY
Authors: Sadiku, Abdulazeez; Adamu, Zubairu Evuti; Kuta, I. I.; Ann, Ebele Okonkwo-Umeh; Sobowale, Favour
Abstract: Ensuring educational accessibility for visually impaired students remains a pressing challenge in
inclusive education. Traditional teaching approaches often fail to provide equal opportunities,
leaving many learners at a disadvantage. Audiobook applications have emerged as promising
digital tools capable of enhancing comprehension, retention, motivation and learner autonomy.
This paper offers a perspective on leveraging audiobook applications to improve accessibility and
learning outcomes for visually impaired students. Drawing on existing studies, it highlights
observed challenges such as limited adaptive resources, inadequate teacher training and policy
implementation gaps, while exploring the potential of audiobooks as practical solutions. Design
considerations, including user-friendly interfaces, curriculum alignment and accessibility
features, are discussed to guide developers in creating effective applications. The paper also
considers implications for teachers, developers and policymakers in fostering inclusive practices.
While large-scale empirical evidence is still evolving, this perspective underscores the
transformative role of audiobook applications in rethinking accessibility and promoting equitable
education.

THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON TRANSFORMING SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) EDUCATION IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS

Title: THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON TRANSFORMING SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) EDUCATION IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS
Authors: Audu, Christopher; Sarki, Sani; Dorathy, Monday; Sobowale, F. M.; Saliu, R. M.
Abstract: The fast-growing accessibility and capability of today’s educational development, couple with the
global scientific and technological trends has given rise to the need for designing or implementing
innovative strategies for effective teaching and learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics (STEM) education. This can best be achieved through the use of Artificial
Intelligence (AI). AI is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially
computer systems. With AI technology’s continuous evolution and popularity, the possibilities for
its application in STEM education are promising but not without challenges. AI has the capability
to transform the way STEM education is taught and learned. One of the most compelling
applications of AI in STEM education is its ability to simulate scientific and technological
experiments and provide virtual laboratory experiences to learners. The paper will address the
concepts science, technology, engineering, mathematics and AI. The importance of STEM
education. The role of AI on STEM education. The challenges in the application of AI on STEM
education. Suggested solutions on the challenges in the application of AI on STEM education. In
conclusion, the paper recommended among others that staff and students should be adequately
trained on the use of AI tools for effective teaching and learning STEM education.

Authors: Dominic, Samaila; Sobowale, Favour Mosunmola; Chukwuemeka, Emeka Joshua; Murtala, Abubakar; Kudu, Salihu Muhammad; Shehu, Othman Abdullahi; Halilu, Ibrahim Usman
Abstract: The urgency of re-engineering the education system has reached unprecedented level in today’s
world. This imperative arises from the lightning-fast pace of digital technology progress, the
dynamic evolution of societal demands, and the ever-changing landscape of pedagogical theories.
These factors collectively emphasize the imperative to rethink education delivery systems,
reimagine learning environments, and embrace innovation to confront the multifaceted challenges
of the contemporary world. This position paper explores diverse role of AI on reform and
excellence in basic education, delving into their significance, outlining pivotal strategies, and
illuminating the potential advantages they hold. As we live in this era of digitization, the
transformation of basic education becomes not just a necessity but an attribute of hope, guiding
