Title: HIERARCHY EXTRACTION FOR COVERT NETWORK DESTABILIZATION AND COUNTERTERRORISM MECHANISM
Authors: Ismail, A. A.; Ganiyu, S. O.
Abstract: Reduction of incessant crimes is the utmost priority of security agencies. Use of
intelligence has potential to bring crime rate under minimal control but, organizational
structure imbibes by criminal groups has been keeping and protecting covert members.
However, extraction of covert members from flat organization structure has some
challenges especially in identifying and analyzing high ranking criminals. Therefore, this
paper proposed the used of eigenvector centrality for extraction of high rank members
that social network analysis considered passive. Furthermore, this approach could offer
a robust platform to detect clandestine nodes that attempt to escape detection.

Title: Appraisal of Nigeria’s Benue-South indigenous communication modes, systems and application for sustainable development
Authors: Ejembi, Johnny Francis; Luke, Maje Ayuba
Abstract: This paper investigated how indigenous communication has been used to provide rural development activities on having access to information, knowledge needed to improve lives, respond to opportunities and challenges of social, economic, cultural, political and technological changes in Benue-South of North-Central Nigeria. The study sought to how indigenous communication modes and systems can be used to bring development to rural dwellers and the challenges involved. Diffusion of Innovation, Trado-Modern Communication Model and Strategic Entrepreneurship Model were used as theoretical frameworks. The paper adopted a qualitative research method making use of extensive literature review of articles, journals, periodicals and indigenous communication as well as Participant Observation with research assistants to elicit data of questionnaire items of four research questions from 627 purposively sampled respondents. The findings revealed that usage of the communication needs to be more empowered through active use in the speech communities to ensure development in areas of access to information on healthcare, agriculture, economy technology and politics. Governments and Non-Governmental Organizations have to use indigenous communication to guide the people on development programmes. The study recommends an all-consuming approach to channel development programmes in the rural areas through artificial intelligence in the broadcast and print media in interface with folk media as well as online journalism using indigenous language of the speech communities for physical and non-physical developments of the communities

Title: Stakeholders’ evaluation of educational communication as a predictor of academic performance of secondary school education in Niger State, Nigeria
Authors: Ejembi, Johnny Francis; Abdullahi, Yusuf Tella
Abstract: This study investigated evaluation of stakeholders on how educational communication can be used as a tool to enhance academic performances in secondary schools. The aim of the study was to find out how educational communication can be used as a predictor to improve learning outcomes because the stakeholders were no longer comfortable with educational products from secondary schools within the state. Anchoring on Symbolic Interactionism of Mead, Blumer and Berlos S-M-C-R learning theories as theoretical framework, the study used three research questions to guide the investigation. A purposive random selection was used to choose seven hundred and fifty (750) respondents made up of teachers, parents, students and one and fifty community leaders from the selected twenty local government areas. The researchers developed a 45-questionnaire items of Likert scale to ask respondents how educational communication could be used to improve learning outcomes in the secondary schools. Data were analyzed using mean score. The study revealed that the selected schools do not have tools of communication technology to use in teaching students and that teachers’ professional development is ignored as well as the emotional disposition of the students. The study recommended that the schools should acquire the needed digital tools to teach effectively, intensive training and other professional development should be carried out for the teachers and as well, government should establish and implement policies to create a healthy school environment for the students

Authors: Ejembi, Johnny Francis; Chibuogu, Felicia Okoli
Abstract: Communities wishing to be important members of the 21st century society need to advertise procurement bidding education in the mass media so as to optimize their chances of realizing appropriate services and products in building their societies. This study aims to find out how artificial intelligence has been used to carry out advertisement on procurement bidding in Radio Niger and Nigerian Television Authority, explore the educational use and importance of artificial intelligence in human resources management as well as products. This paper is anchored on Technology Acceptance Model of Fred Davies (1989), Technological Determinism Theory of McLuhan (1964) and Diffusion of Innovation by Everett Roger. Purposive Sampling was used to collect and analyzed data from questionnaire items from May 2024 to April 2025 on both broadcast media. Findings revealed that respondents were not adequately educated on A.I. Driven advertisement on procurement bidding, poor patronage of the procurement bidding advertisement and dominant phobias that A.I. will render the people unemployment. Recommendations were made on how to see A.I. procurement bidding education as efforts of technology improve the Niger people of Nigeria and make the place a better one
