Authors: Aniah, A; Mohammed, A
Abstract: The paper discussed the challenges of technical vocational education and training (TVET) and the need for enhanced educational technology in technical schools in Nigeria. Concept of TVET, forms of TVET, objective of TVET and the relevance of educational technology to technical schools were discussed in the paper. The challenges of TVET and the need for enhanced educational technology materials in technical schools as a way of exposing students to relevant knowledge and skills required to face the world of work were also discussed. Such material includes the use of video recorded packages and photography machine for training of students in order to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Recommendations were articulated in line with the title of the paper. One of such recommendations was that government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) should show keen interest in TVET by making available fund for provision of technological facilities to enhance effective training and skill acquisition in technical schools in Nigeria. This will help to meet the target of achieving sustainable development goals and also make the graduates of technical colleges self-reliance and relevant in this era of economic depression and unemployment.</summary>

Authors: Ali, F.; Ohadugha, R. O.
Abstract: Peer tutoring is a strategy that is used in teaching and learning. Peer learning is not a single, undifferential educational strategy. It comprises a comprehensive range of activities through which students learn. In peer-tutoring, students work together in groups to practice an activity or skills and provide each other with immediate response. Peer tutoring usually leads to better understanding of academic concepts but it is more fruitful when students that have different abilities level work together (Kunsch &amp; Sood, 2007). Through this strategy, students can learn to a great extent by elaborating their views to others and as a result of this different view, students can understand a concept and learn better. It creates opportunity for the students to learn from one another by using their talents and it make students to practice and participate in many activities (students-centered) than the traditional teaching that only makes students to be passive in the classroom (teacher-centered)</summary>
